________________________________________________________________________Instructor: Philip Frey
Artist, Philip Frey, born in Maine in 1967, paints a sophisticated portrayal of Maine coastal life.  His bold, rich colors and sense of movement awaken us to the present and inspire a sense of place.  Widely exhibited and praised, his avidly collected landscapes stand out for their luminosity, adept use of color and clear commitment to painting his native state.

Philip's workshops are fun, informative and supportive. Student testimonials: "What's wonderful about Philip's instruction is that he often commences a class or workshop with an opening deomonstration. It isn't just about instruction from the sidelines, he teaches from example. One of the most beneficial lessons I've had in all of my art education was watching Philip develop a painting from its very beginning to its very end: It educated me about the "process" of painting. For me, that was priceless." -M. Zamora. Freeport, Maine

"His teaching style is positive, reinforcing, instructional, and gifted." - Andy Carpentier

Philip is represented by The Firehouse Gallery and Courthouse Gallery Fine Art.  His work is collected here and abroad.
