Summer Art Camp for Grades 1-8
Monday-Friday, 8:30-12:00

Enroll your child in a Summer Vacation tradition at the tenth annual UMMA Summer Art Camp, an in-depth art experience held at the University of Maine Museum of Art.

The camp will run six week-long sessions from Monday, June 23rd through Friday, August 22nd, for students in grades 1-8.  Sessions will be from 8:30-12:00 in the Museum classroom, offering direct access to the exhibitions in the galleries.

Campers will not only have the opportunity to view and talk about art, but they will also be able to participate in a range of exciting activities.

Projects often include any combination of painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and drawing. Weather permitting, the class may step outside the museum doors to the park to draw, paint, or create sidewalk murals. Each week is packed with activities including behind-the-scenes tours, scavenger hunts, and a Friday reception and art show for family and friends.

The cost is $115 for the week and includes all supplies.  The Museum offers a discounted rate of $100 for Museum Members. If you register your child by April 18 you qualify for our early-bird rate of $90 (does not apply to Camp Bangor Scholarship recipients).
